WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT
At Your Neighborhood Church, we strive to create an inclusive and welcoming environment for everyone in your family, from the littlest members to the seasoned adults. Here's what you can expect when you join us:
FOR MY KIDS
YOUR Neighborhood Kids Church or just YNKC is designed and staffed to help each child from infancy through 6th grade find their next steps with God on their own level.
As you enter the Friendship Hall entrance you’ll be greeted and directed to the YNKC sign-in area. After signing your child in one of our Children’s Ministry workers will usher your child OR you and your child to the designated ministry for their specific age. Your child will have a fantastic time learning about the same topic as you in “their church” service while you enjoy your time in the adult worship experience.
FOR MY TEENS
Our teens are involved in ministry with adults during our Sunday worship experience. Some ministers in our technical arts ministry, operate computers, projectors, and audio equipment. Others minister in singing or playing instruments. While still others, simply enjoy the worship and message.
We host various activities for our teens on-site as well as plan offsite activities as frequently as possible.
FOR ME
Adults can expect to be warmly greeted and offered a cup of coffee or tea from our CRANK’d Café. We are a diverse group made up of a balance of single young adults, young parents, and couples with a strong middle age group and senior group as well. While some do wear dress casual, most of us are jeans & tennis shoes people, and shorts with flips as much as possible.
Our worship is contemporary and lively. Everyone is invited to show their love and adoration to God in their own way. You will see some clapping their hands and moving to the rhythm of the music. You’ll see some with hands raised, while others may simply be still or enjoying their coffee. We do our best to create an environment that invites everyone to encounter God in their own way with no pressure to do it anyone else’s way.
We believe in the power of prayer. So, we pray. Sometimes we pray for each other. Sometimes we gather at the altar for prayer and sometimes we pray in our seats. Prayer really is a conversation with God where we invite Him to do what only God can do. That’s a powerful thing. There’s power in prayer!!
